A-Z Discount Skylight in Santa Clara
We replaced the roofs in our townhouse complex this fall. It was quite an endeavor, and I should probably write an entry about it too, but one of the things that our roofer told us he’d do if we wanted was install any skylights or vent fans basically for free, given that he was doing the rest of the roof.
So, I had four skylights and a sun tunnel installed on the back side of my roof; the four skylights in the ‘big’, upstairs family room which has, until now, received very little in the way of natural light. Now, that room gets lots of light.
And, I wanted to install a sun tunnel in our bathroom shower, which also gets no natural light at all, because it’s deep inside the house and has no windows. So, I put in a velux 14″ tunnel, which I got from a place called A-Z Discount Skylight in Santa Clara. I like buying stuff from local businesses, when I can, and the first couple places I called didn’t carry these sun tunnels, but A-Z did, and had them in stock, and the guy I dealt with ( Joe ) was quite pleasant the couple times I chatted with him on the phone, and when I went over to pick them up. He offered to give me an extra foot or two of tunnel, if I needed it ( though, as I expected, I eventually bought a full 10′ section because the distance between the roof part and the bathroom part was quite far ).
