Apparently, I haven’t been wrong about what I saw these last five years…
I swear, for the past five years, I’ve thought that although I got up early enough on September 11th, 2001, I couldn’t have been up early enough to actually see the second tower fall.  In the mornings, back then, after I got up I’d turn on Fox News ( because Fox News made me angry and that helped me wake up ). I would have been up around 7:15am, or so, which would be 10:15am in New York, and the second tower fell at about 10:30am there. The TV hadn’t been on more than about 30 seconds or so when it fell — I’d just turned it on, and wasn’t sure whether what I was seeing was a commercial, or a movie and I’d mistuned the tv, or what. It woke me up pretty fast, though.
I mention this because that was the start of a really wierd day. I went into Apple around 8:30am, and all day we had the TVs tuned to CNN ( well, not TVs, but usually Quadra 630s with the TV tuner card ), and no work got done. I recall being almost incapable of concentrating.
