The whole concept of money interests me. I’ve never taken an economics class, so all my understanding about the fiscal system is from stuff I’ve picked up over time and by reading things. It certainly seems like a tricky field, and ( I’m let do understand ) a fairly recent invention. We’ve had philosophers for thousands of years, but economics is a much more recent invention.
But, here’s a place you can go if you want to know roughly how much a given amount of money could have bought in a given year.
